The concept always comes first in my process and the material choice is secondary but completely instrumental in the execution of the underlying message. Working across media gives me the freedom to choose materials that reinforce the work. An emphasis is on materials that can be found in the home and often pay homage to methods of what has historically been viewed as women’s handicraft.
